Unavoidable Profile page permissions error

All seems to work, but when a user signs in, PMP sends them to https://www.[mywebsite].com/wp-admin/profile.php.
This throws the error, “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.”
My users can hit the “back” button on their browser and then see their content, but any idea why this is happening?
