Profile Photo and Cover Photo Thumbnail Sizes

  • In Settings > Uploads, there is a way to specify different Profile Photo and Cover Photo Thumbnail Sizes.

    Why would we need different thumbnail sizes? Where are these thumbnails visible after we create the different sizes?
