profile photo: not displayed if form is profile tab

  • i’ve been encountering a weird/ unique problem.

    a) if a profile form is set up as a “default template”, only the profile photo is displayed when i try to view the user from the member directory.

    b) if a profile form is set up as a “profile tab”, all the other fields are shown except the profile photo.

    How do I make the profile form show both the ability to set a profile photo and display all the fields?

    I don’t think I have missed any settings. But maybe I have?

    Please help me folks. Any help is much appreciated.

    Hi @seed2launch,

    Please attach the screenshots of this issue.
    Have you tested this on logged in user page?
    Please try to disable “Apply custom settings to this form ” in your form settings and see if it fixes your issue, in this case, this issue is caused by your form settings.

    hi,

    1) here’s the profile page when the profile form is set up using the “default template”. This shows only the profile image:

    2) here’s the profile page when the profile form is set up using the “profile tab” option. this shows all the field minus the profile image:

    3) and here’s the profile form with the “apply custom settings to this form” disabled:

    i tried playing with the settings under “appearance” and i get the same results. how do i make both the profile image and the fields to appear at the same time. i’m so confused.

    any help to resolve this is highly appreciated!

    Hi @seed2launch,

    Have you changed any settings in Ultimate member -> Settings -> Appearance -> Profile section? Please check these settings and attach screenshots so we can check what do you have there.

    yes, I guess I forgot to mention that.

    I’ve tried changing the settings under “appearance” and it behaves the same way.

    if I select “default template” under “appearance” and set up the form as a “profile tab”, it displays only the profile photo.

    if I select “profile tab” under “appearance” and set up the form as a “default template”, it displays all the fields minus the profile photo.

    if I select “default template” under both options, it shows only the profile photo.

    any updates on this?

    perhaps you can guide me on resetting the code that displays the member profiles. maybe something has gotten messed up there?
