You can do it through WP Avatar plugin https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-user-avatar/ Clean Login is fully compatible with it.

Nothing happens though?

I mean in dashboard profile editor through WP Avatar plugin. I’m sorry but for now Clean Login doesn’t support updating profile picture from the frontend.
