Profile update notification

Hi

Sorry – I’m still trying to get admin notification of a user updating their profile. I understand that UM fields don’t form part of the standard WP profile and therefore won’t trigger a normal update notification, and that, as you said in another thread, ‘For security reasons, user won’t be able to edit the predefined username, email address, password fields in UM profile page.’
However, I am able to put the WP field ‘Nickname’ on the UM profile form, and the user can edit it via that UM form so that I see the change in the WP admin dashboard – but neither admin nor user get a notification email, either from WP or from a notification plugin. However, if I make the same change via the dashboard, both emails are triggered.
Am I flogging a dead horse?
