Profile view not displaying fields without ?um_action=view

When I go to a profile page as a logged in user I should be able to view all fields in the Profile form. All I see is the Name, header images and meta data.
For example if I go to https://www.mywebsite.org.uk/user/test1test1/ I don’t see any fields.
If I change the url to https://www.mywebsite.org.uk/user/test1test1/?um_action=view then I see all of the fields in the Profile form.
So I either need to sort this, or change the url that clicking on users in the Member Directory goes to so that I can append ?um_action=edit to the end
