This may be a daft question, but with progressive web apps becoming more popular and the possibility of visiting the site offline. Is there a way to stop the ads from just showing a blank / offline box, can they be stopped ?.
A long shot I am sure

    Hi Clivesmith,

    thanks for reaching out.

It is a good question. I am sure that you would not see anything for third-party ad codes, because they might not be able to load anything from another server.

As for other ad types, I would need to create a test setup to see the behavior. If there is some kind of variable that tells us if a website is currently “offline” then Advanced Ads could react on that. If you know how to do that then please let me know. The simpler this is to set up, the sooner I can take a look.

    Best regards,
    Thomas

    Hi Thomas,

Thanks for replying, I am just starting to look at PWAs it looks to me they will be used a lot. I have no idea if there is a variable.
I have google ads, are they third party ?

    Regards

    Hi Clive,

yes, Google Ads are third-party codes and won’t work if the site is not actively communicating with their servers.

    Best regards,
    Thomas
