Good plugin, annoying advertisement for pro
-
I pointed out that an important promised “free” feature is missing and the developer answered within less than an hour, actually admitted the mistake and corrected the plugin description. Additionally, they gave me a one-year license as compensation and – as the account creation didn’t work as intended – they gave very good support with several emails back and forth uttil it finally worked. Great developer!
I appreciate honesty and integrity so I updated my initial 1-star review. The plugin does what it says, and does it well. The Pro features are also great.
The only thing that annoys me in the free version is the listing of all the features of the pro version with a button “upgrade to pro” next to each item – that is a little messy / annoying, but overall not enough to give one star less. Eventually, we all have to live and so it’s o.k. that the developer tries to sell his stuff. ??Original 1-star review:
I wasted my time installing this plugin, watching the overview tutorial, reading all descriptions and learning how to use it … just to find out the developer lies about the features:
“You can also move media library files, pages, posts, or any custom post to folders without using our drag and drop feature.”
Truth: Custom Post Types is ONLY available in the paid version.
I happily pay for premium stuff (although in this case obviously the price is a little ridiculous for what the plugin does), but I won’t support this kind of cheating.
After wasting my time I’ll happily add some more wasted time on this plugin by writing this review to help others not fall into the same trap. ??
@wordpress team and / or developer: Please delete false pretenses.
(If the promised feature gets added or I somehow did something wrong (although in all honesty I don’t know how to misinterpret that big “Upgrade to Pro” button next to the promised free feature) I happily update my review.)
