Prompted to Install WP Again

  • Hi All,

    our site was fine, I then logged into manage/edit a page within wordpress. Saved and published, then a few days later, when coming back to our main page, it directs to the below link,

    https://wanopt.net/wp-admin/install.php

    Why would we lose our site like that? Do we need to re-install? Evcerything seems to be there on the server. Thanks.

    Yes, that file still exists…

    If that file is there and nothing in it has been changed, something is off. If you do go through the process to “re-install”, it should take you through the first few steps, such as putting in your DB info, then see everything is setup and take you into your site.

    Ok, followed the install process again, and get a lot of DB errors when submittiing. Might explain the initial issue? Thanks.

    You might want to take a look at plugins that will help you repair the database, if you haven’t already repaired it.
