• I was leery of this plugin given there are no screen shots of an actual proofing gallery. After giving this plugin a try I now know why. When the gallery is set for proofing my images appear at full resolution at the top of the page on top of my theme- not inline. Then the images appear at normal size below inline within my theme. There is a narrow vertical white rectangle with two zeros, one over the other. Apparently you use these characters for voting up and down during proofing.

Perhaps this is still in development and will improve with future versions.

Hi there, thanks for your feedback.

The mixed results you experienced are probably a result of your theme, the plugin has ostensibly been developed for use with supporting themes. We’ve not had the opportunity to test with many non-standard themes, if you are able to provide a link to your proofing gallery, it would be useful for feedback purposes so we can improve the support for these themes.

If you want a screenshot/example of how a proofing gallery should look see Proofing Gallery Demo.

We only released this plugin a month or so, yes, we’re improving all the time and feedback is essential to develop the product further to improve compatibility and appeal to as many users as possible.

I have the same problem, I just can′t get the plugin to work. I disaplays the images like DRGDC described when viewing the gallery directly. And defenetly doesn′t work when putting the gallery into a page or post vía shortcode.

Don′t get me wrong, it looks amazing on the demo gallery on ceremony theme, but there′s something wrong.

Hi, thanks again for the feedback. Would you please let us know what theme(s) your using, or even better link to some examples.

Improving compatibility is something we are working on and it would be great to get a handle on where and how it is being used so we can improve the plugin for everyone.

    Hi,
I have installed and activated this plugin and it appears to do nothing. There is absolutely nothing in my admin panel relating to this plugin. No settings of any kind. Am I missing something?
    Thanks,
    Adam

I also keep getting this at the top of all my admin pages?….

“You need the latest version of Watermark WP Image Protect installed and activated for the WP Image Protect Premium add on pack to work. Install it now, and ensure it is activated.”

This appears to be for watermarks. I have no desire for watermarks so why is this being displayed.

    Thanks,
    Adam

    Hi limeyguy,

Apologies, that is the wrong message it’s supposed to say “You need the latest version of Heroic Gallery Manager installed and activated for the Heroic Gallery Proofing to function. Install it now, and ensure it is activated”

The link to install is still correct. You need Heroic Gallery Manager for this plugin to work, though please note some people are reporting compatibility issues when using Heroic Gallery Proofing with non-compatible themes, as reported here.

Let me know how you get on,

    Kind Regards,

    Richard

So I’ve update the plugin AND changed to a default theme. The plugin still appears to do nothing. Nothing on my admin panel has changed. No settings at all. I still get the message at the top of the page telling me that I need the latest plugin (which I have). Could you please let me know exactly what we are supposed to see relating to this plugin?
    Thanks,
    Adam

I apologize, I see that is a DIFFERENT plugin that also needs to be installed. I will install and see what happens. Thanks,
    Adam

    Hi,
I have now got the proper plugins installed but I now get this when I use the shortcode within a page…

“The Heroic Gallery with the id 425 is empty. “

The gallery is populated with many images so I’m not clear as to why I’m getting this message.

    Please help.

I now managed to get the gallery to display but I do not see any of the ‘proofing’ functionality? How does a client ‘mark’ an image as selected and then send that list to the photographer? I have found all the proofing options and enabled them but it is making no difference whatsoever. Even the password protection part is not functioning.
    Thanks,
    Adam

    Adam,

I have replied to your queries on the separate support topic.

If anyone else has a specific support query, could they kindly start a new support thread to assist others that may be having similar issues.
