• Ok I hope someone can help me! I’m confused about the proper way to do this…

On a SCHEDULED post containing a YouTube post what is the proper way to embed the YouTube video? Some are saying use the IFrame code that you can right click on the video and grab (even before the video itself is live on your channel) or use the embed tags.

**one note! I cannot use the simple URL because these will all be scheduled posts which will follow a closely scheduled YouTube video release…

Both ways above work but someone told me that they are based on the Google API and that the Google API changes every 4 years…what happens to your videos then?

    Confusing…

THANKS FOR THE HELP IN ADVANCE!!!

  • If you’ve already uploaded the video to YouTube, then the IFrame code that you can just grab on the video page should work fine.

As for the API, you should be fine.

    THANK YOU!!

Yes, the Iframe code seems to be the simplest way; I know Codex suggests for you to just use the URL but you can’t do that when BOTH the YouTube video is scheduled to go in a SCHEDULED post…

Ok Jacob so if down the road a little I have a bunch of videos on a site and the Google API changes those videos will still be ‘ok’ ??
