[property_map] Shortcode Usage

    Not sure if I’m missing something but having set up my Google Maps API, Property Hive is able to show the location in the admin backend but if I put the [property_map] shortcode into the descriptions area it does not display the map on the listings page – it just displays the shortcode as text e.g. test property at https://belaviva.com/property/test-property-extended-1930s-semi-detached/
    Do I still need to do something to enable map display or add the shortcode to somewhere else in the backend.

    Hi there,

    Thanks for getting in touch. So it looks like you’re just trying to add the shortcode into the summary/excerpt box. I’ve not seen this before and after doing some research, it looks like shortcodes aren’t automatically parsed if entered into the excerpt (though there is a workaround for this).

    I think there are two options. If you want to append the map to the end of the details page we have an example of this on this page here (see bottom):

    Or alternatively if you want o keep putting it into the summary/excerpt box manually for each property, I’ve found this thread here:

    Thanks for your reply (happy 2020 BTW)
    Before I start digging around in actions etc, is there somewhere I should be adding the [property_map] shortcode rather than in the Property Summary Description box which I take is an item specific to PropertyHive?
