The filmstrip in the light box shows square cropped versions of the images in the gallery. This is often not desirable for photographers. Is there a way to have the filmstrip show the images in their original ratio? This means that they have a fixed height and varying width (for horizontal strips) or a fixed width and varying height (for vertical strips).

    Cheers!

    Hi,

Please try to resize the Filmstrip size from the shortcode options > Image click action > Open lightbox > Filmstrip size. See the following gif.

If the filmstrip is horizontal, this indicates its height, whereas for vertical filmstrips it sets the width.

Please let us know if the information is helpful.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

Thanks, but this is not an answer to my question I’m afraid.

My question was if (and how) we can maintain the aspect ratio of the images in the film strip, instead of cropping them all of the to squares.

Adjusting the height or width as per your instruction does not chance this behavior.

    Cheers.

    Hi,

    Thanks for more clarification.

Please note that there is no such functionality to adjust the aspect ratio of the images in the film strip.

However, the feature you wish to have would be a great addition. So could you please add your suggestion to our Submit Your Idea page?

Our development team will consider working on this for further updates.

Thanks in advance! Have a wonderful day!
