  • Hi, I am also certain this is a theme issue. Can you test one of WordPress default themes like Twenty Fourteen or Fifteen?

I tried Twenty Fourteen and it still is blank ??

Hi, can you disable the plugin and re-enable it again? If that does not work can you disable all your other plugins except this one and carry out a test. If that does not work can you delete the plugin and reinstall it again. As a golden rule, you should create a back up just in case something goes wrong.

    Thank you

Hi again. If I disable all the plugins and just activate the Slideshow, I still get the same result in Twenty14. In my own theme it shows the list of images but seems like no CSS or Javascript until I activate at least one other plugin, then it shows the empty results.

I tried deleting and reinstalling and still get the same results.

If it helps at all, if I add a height to slideshow_content it works but the “caption” isn’t positioned correctly.

Hi, can you add a height and share the URl. I will try and help you with the caption. Can you tell me exactly where you want the caption to appear? Can you send me a screen capture pointing to the exact position of the caption?

    Thank you

Actually when I added it to the CSS it fixed the caption too. The only issue would be that the height should be proportional so it shrinks with the width of the picture.

    Thank you!

Hi, that is good that it is working. For now I guess you will have to avoid the proportional setting. Or maybe play a bit with this settings. I do recall in another thread someone had problems with the proportional side. They ended up finding the correct setting which worked for them.

If you don’t require any more help can you mark this thread as resolved.

    Thank you

Well, it’s not really resolved because without the proportional relationship the slideshow is no longer responsive, and not really useful to the site.

The issue is that whatever changes the width and height on the divs (I’m assuming javascript) doesn’t seem to be firing. Could there be a corrupt file somewhere? I did reinstall the plugin, so maybe it’s something with the new version of WP? Conflicting jquery?

Something else that worries me, if I deactivate all the plugins and just activate the slideshow, the images are listed all in one column, as if there is no CSS or JS applied. This only happens with my theme. With the 2014 theme, it just shows without a height again.

    Thanks for your help!

Hi do you have any of the following set to Yes?

    • Shrink slideshow’s height when width shrinks
    • Enable responsiveness (Shrink slideshow’s width when page’s width shrinks)

    In regards to your question.

if I deactivate all the plugins and just activate the slideshow, the images are listed all in one column, as if there is no CSS or JS applied.

That tells me it is a theme issue because you have already deactivated all the plugins.

Have you also tried to deactivate all the plugins and at the same time test a different theme?
