Prospects can't send contact info. They get a "Think you are a Bot" message.

  • Prospects are getting this message when trying to request free report on my contact page:

    Hello there,
    Rex our automated bot detector thinks you may be a pesky robot! Super sorry if this is an error. Perhaps you are using an autofill add-on or something similar. If so please fill out the form manually and we should all be able to get on with our day. Cheerio! ??

    Just ran a test worked.
    Is it just one user or many?
    If it’s just one person they may be using an autofill or robo form app, add on, plugin.

    If this is a feature you don’t want disable it in the Easy Sign Up settings.

    Uncheck the honeypot option.

    I also have this issue with the honeypot when submitting the form using IE 11. It works in Chrome and Firefox. I tried changing the field label to something obscure and that didn’t fix it, so I don’t think it’s auto-fill related.

    Thanks for the info; I suggest that you uncheck the honeypot option for now. I’ll see if I can replicate & fix the issue.

    @jpsteinwand I just can’t seem to recreate this, I have a from set up at https://www.beforesite.com/newsletter-sign-up/ and have run a few test using IE, and no issues for me.

    Can you shoot me an email with a link to the form you had issues with so that I can run a test on that. It maybe issue that is dependant on your websites theme or other plugins.
