Protect Direct Access using URL Not Working

    I have “Set File Access Permission Select user roles who can access protected files through their file URLs.” to admins only, but I can open another browser where admin is not logged in and still go directly to an image.

    Is it possible to protect the ENTIRE uploads directory and not just image-by-image?

    Could you please provide a sample URL so I can check? Also, please try clearing out the cache from your browser and then try again.

    You can also check out Basic Troubleshooting guide.

    We do provide you with the folder protection feature to protect whole directories at once without changing file URLs.

    Only authorized users, e.g. logged-in users, can access your protected images.

    the images are uploaded to a custom folder. I am using the free/lite version and need to protect a folder within. Guess that doesn’t work with the lite version. If I’m understanding, the plugin only works for individual files unless you buy an add on?

    Thank you for getting back to us. Yes, that is correct, the lite version only protects individual files.

    To protect a folder, you will need our PDA Gold plugin and Access Restriction add-on.
