protect from trackback spam?

    Recently I got hit with a bunch of bogus trackbacks. I guess they aren’t hurting my site per se but I was getting tons of emails asking be to approve them before I figured out how to turn that off. Now I just have 1,400 comments to mark as spam, 20 per page. I also realize I can stop them by not allowing trackbacks but I’d have to open and edit every one of my old posts to stop it. Is there some way to deal with this? Can they be included in the type of spam Clean Talk can prevent or find once accepted? Is there a faster way to clear them out than one page at a time? Thanks.
