• As we all know, WordPress automatically changes text smileys from a colon and right-parenthesis to an image of a smiling face.
    I like this!
But for just one post, I want to be able to display the text version of the emoticon. Can this be done? Is there some sort of code I can surround it with so that WordPress leaves it alone?
I tried display:none and visibility:hidden, in hopes it would print the alt as the text, but it doesn’t.
Is there any way to do this? Or do I just have to suck it up?
