Protecting files without .htaccess

  • I’ve got a website running Apache.

    However, user over-rides with .htaccess are not supported.

    ie, .htaccess is not available. And if it was then it would be ignored.

    I am able to edit the vhost configuration.

    How do I protect EDD downloads?
