Protecting Media Downloads

    hello,

    this looks like a great plugin and please excuse my ignorance if this is obvious.

    regarding selling of digital media – i am just wondering how you can prevent others from obtaining the link and downloading the file once someone has purchased it and been provided with the link.

    ie – i would like to sell gift vouchers – but once someone buys one – what stops them from going back to that same link to download again or send it to someone else.

    is there a way to randomise the link or something? or how do others get around this?

    Hi, I understand what you mean. However that feature is not currently added to the plugin. If you really need this feature and it is important to you, you might like to try the following eStore plugin. This plugin has more advanced feature than the Simple PayPal Shopping Cart.

    ok. thanks for letting me know. given the product we are offering it is not that important. i just asked in case it was something obvious i was missing.

    i am very happy with your plugin and managed to tweak the look nicely. i am amazed at how easy you have made it to add a shopping cart to the site.
