Hi, I installed the free Membership 2 plugin and noticed that you can still access the protected pages if you know the link to the page. I was told by your support that this should not be happening. How can I stop it?

Hello @katanna, I hope you are doing well today!

This should not happen. Please let us know what protection rules you have set up and what add-on you have activated.

Would you please share a link here to a page/post that should be protected ant it is not? yu can create a blank page a share it here.

Can you replicate the same when all the other plugins are deactivated? Deactivate ll other plugins, and test again. f everything is well, activate one plugin at a time to find the one that causes this.

Follow the flowchart from our Getting Support manual:
    https://premium.wpmudev.org/manuals/using-wpmu-dev/getting-support/

Let us know how it went!

    Cheers,

It is actually a post. Is it not possible to protect posts? I have set the tag it’s under as protected.

I’m not sure about “tags”, but go to membership2 -> addons and select the one called Individual Posts. Then you can set the post to protected.

Hello @katanna, I hope all is well!

As @demerit has mentioned , it is possible to protect a post. Navigate to Membership 2 > Add-ons and activate the “Individual Posts” add-on or the “Individual Custom Posts” if you are using custom posts.

Once the add-on is activated, go to Membership 2 > Protection Rules > Posts tab, modify access to each post to protect your content. Please see the attached screenshot:

Let me know if you have any further questions!

    Cheers,
    Nastia
