PSA: WooCommerce Order Notes!

    Just a heads up for any one using WooCommerce, and using the “clear comments” part of this plugin.

    If you use the option “clear comments in database” all order notes will be removed from WooCommerce as for some reason WooCommerce choose to store order notes as regular post comments in the database!

    This is the real fail and we’ll think about how to bypass the WooCommerce data when clearing comments in database.

    Hi Alexander, thanks for getting back to me regarding this issue.

    If you don not mind a suggestion here, best way i can see from taking a look at the database structure would be to check for one of the following

    Table field => Table Data
    “comment_agent” => “WooCommerce”
    “comment_type” => “order_note”

    Looking at all of the order notes on my system (i had a backup thankfully) both these tables are automatically populated with that exact data when a comment is added either by system or an accrual person.

    Hi @emcthemes It’s already fixed. You can test it in the next update.
    But still do not forget about backups =)
