Public Feed do i need to Create FB App? (FB has changed App)

i only want a Public Feed into WP sites, do i need to Create FB App? why can’t i just enter that public FB Page ID?

and a heads up, FB has changed the process of Creating an App, it is not easy, there are dozens of fields we need to select/not select in the new “Start a Submission” step. and there is a new Test your App step which it seems i’m supposed to enter other FB accounts to test my App even before FB allows the App to enter their review. good luck! i cannot get it to work, though i have a dozens FB Apps in existence from previous years i cannot get the new system to even accept anything i do.
