public pages different from backend pages

I set up my wordpress site using the 2024 theme, then installed woocommerce and went through the wizard setup guide to create a new theme. Now there is a different frontpage than what I see in the editor for that same page. It as if there are two conflicting themes installed at the same time. attached is a video showing this odd behavoir. Under settings > reading, the front page is set to display a static page titled SPORKLOGIC, as seen in the menu in the video. Would love to know how to fix this issue. https://imgur.com/a/zlabjmR
