Publicise to Social Media

I am a non-techy volunteer running a community website. Event list seemed ideal for putting a diary on our site and it is. However, I was also hoping that using the Jet-Pack Publicise would enable Event listings to be sent to our Facebook page. Unfortunately that does not seem to be possible.

I have spotted that the “Publicise” options in the Post Editor are not present in the Event Editor.

I am wondering if there is anything simple I can do to activate Publicise on Event listings? If not is this option likely to be added to the plug-in in the near future?
