Whenever I make a blog post that’s then posted on Facebook, Twitter, and other Social Media sites, the post ALWAYS has the headline “Auto Draft,” no matter what I make the actual headline on the blog post, or specify in the Publicize settings for that page. I can’t see anywhere else to change this, does anyone have an idea what’s happening?

    Hi there,

If I understood it correctly, you are saying the headline on social media sites of the post has Auto Draft included whenever the post is posted there via Jetpack?

Could you please post your site URL and Social Media post URL here so that we can have a look? If you want it to remain private, you can also contact us via this contact form. If you choose to reach out directly, please include a link to this thread.

    Hi @ambaryerno

That is rather strange. I noticed that when I view the page source of your post, the OG tag for the post shows correctly:

    <meta property="og:title" content="Hardcover Proof #1" />

But if I put that post’s URL into the Facebook Debug tool here:

    https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/

    It shows this:

    og:title Auto Draft

Would you please disconnect and then reconnect Jetpack? You can follow these instructions to do that:

    1. Go to the **Jetpack** menu in your WP-Admin dashboard
    2. Scroll down to find the *Connections* area.
    3. Click *Manage site connection*.
    4. Click **Disconnect** and follow the prompts to complete the disconnection process.
    5. Click **Set Up Jetpack** button to connect your site to WordPress.com again.

This handy guide explains the full process in more detail:

    [https://jetpack.com/support/reconnecting-reinstalling-jetpack/#disconnecting-jetpack](https://jetpack.com/support/reconnecting-reinstalling-jetpack/#disconnecting-jetpack)

Can you then try sharing a post again? If that doesn’t work, another plugin may be conflicting with Jetpack. You may need to disable all plugins then try reactivating one at a time until you spot the culprit.

Deactivating/reactivating Jetpack made no difference. Also, any other plugins on the site are necessary for the site itself to even function, so deactivating them isn’t an option.

    Hi there

Next time you publish a post, can you check the source code of the page and look for the og:title property? If that shows the correct title, enter the post URL into https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/ and check what shows there for og:title.

If it shows Auto-draft then try clicking ‘Scrape again’ and see if it picks up the correct title.

If so, it seems there is some kind of delay where the wrong og:title value is being picked up on publish.

I see you have a ‘duplicate page’ plugin. Are you using that to create new posts, or are you publishing them in the standard way, using Posts > Add New?
