Publicize Error : -32301

    Hello Guys,

    Well, I tried several hints to get publicize working properly, but I still with problems. Below some useful information. Hope someone could help me.

    1 – I have an wordpress installation at crazy domains host at https://www.perthfilmschool.com.au.
    2 – The theme I using ninezeroseven ( theme website
    3 – I have no plugins installed except by jetpack.
    4 -The only change my wordpress have is the php.ini:
    memory_limit = 256M
    At wp-admin/
    Note: I added this php.ini file in order to increase the memory (1st attempt to install jetpack it asked for) since crazy domain doesn’t give access to the root php.ini.
    5 – , I tried to install the jetpack by both ways (by finding/ by uploading).
    6 – I installed jetpack compatibility plugin and here is:

    I’m afraid your memory limit changes did not solve the issue. Jetpack uses your site’s XML-RPC file to communicate with WordPress.com, but this file displays a Fatal error at the moment:
    https://www.perthfilmschool.com.au/xmlrpc.php

    Could you try to increase the memory limit in wp-config.php, as explained here:
    https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Editing_wp-config.php#Increasing_memory_allocated_to_PHP

    If that doesn’t help, could you contact your hosting provider again and ask them if your custom php.ini file is properly set up?

    Well,

    1st thanks for your answer Jeremy I can’t wait to have it working properly, so, again thanks.

    Well, basically I edited the wp-config.php file located on root and right below
    define('DB_COLLATE', '');
    I added:
    define('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '512M');

    But the error still the same. I also tried with many different values from 96 to 512M.

    What you mean by my custom php.ini file? Is that wrong as well?

    Hi Jeremy,

    I made some tests this morning and I have this situation:

    I started again from a completely clean install, without themes, without nothing, except:
    – jetpack compatibility test;
    – wp_server_info;

    I run jetpack compatibility test and wp_server_info;
    I got these results:

    This section of the test was returning a error in the previous installation as you can see on the post above

    Before try install jetpack, I uploaded a file php.ini with:
    memory_limit = 512M;

    then I checked again and the information was:

    In the previous installation I tried to install without raise the memory and I got a fatal error, so this time I chose raise and then install, so I did, and I installed / activated jetpack without any errors or warnings.

    After the installation (before connect with wordpress.com) I run the jet pack compatibility test again, and I got exactly the same results, no errors, no warnings.

    I connected with wordpress.com without any any error or warning, and I decided to run jet pack compatibility test once more just to be sure, but this time the result was different.

    So from my understanding the error is happening when I connect to wordpress.com, I made some other tests just to be sure.

    I disconnected from wordpress.com and run jetpack compatibility test, that time without any error.

    So Jeremy, is there any possible way to fix it? Do you have any idea?

    Since you keep receiving this message, it would seem that your custom php.ini changes are ignored.

    I would recommend that you contact your hosting provider and ask them to have a look at the issue.

    Hi Jeremy, thanks for you answer again.

    I called to my hosting and asked them to increase the php_memory_limit and now it’s working well.

    Just to don’t open another topic now I have a different issue:

    I have my fb profile with 6 pages there, this installation of wordpress should publish only in one of these pages, but after add the connection the only option that appear is my personal profile page.

    I had authorised the access to all my pages but they just don’t appear on sharing options…

    I’m kind lost about what I should do.

    So, if you can help me to set up, it would be great.
