Publicize function has disappeared

    Hello,

    The Publicize feature of Jetpack has disappeared on my site after a recent update. Can anyone suggest what might be the cause?

    I’ve been using it for months/years without problem then noticed that new articles were no longer being posted to Twitter/Facebook etc.

    Now, when I look, there is no longer a Publicize section under Settings->Sharing. I can’t find anything under Jetpack Settings either.

    Am I missing something?

    Any suggestions most welcome.

    That is strange! I don’t see any connection issues on our end either.

    First, can you try to deactivate all other plugins on your site? Then, see if the Publicize option reappears. If the issue is resolved, activate your plugins one at a time to determine which is causing the conflict.

    If that doesn’t help, please rule out a theme conflict by temporarily changing your site’s theme to a default theme (such as Twenty Fifteen) and checking again.

    If that doesn’t work, could you disable, delete, reinstall, and reconnect Jetpack?

    I’ve had some problems with updating Jetpack recently (keeps telling me it can’t remove the old version) so I went ahead and deleted the whole thing to start from scratch.

    Publicize has now re-appeared!

    Not sure if that helps solve the mystery but it seems to be working fine.
