Hi there, after two years, jetpack doesn’t auto-post on Facebook. Other social modules works fine.

What is the URL of the site with the problem?

At least according to tests from our end, Jetpack is working properly on your site, and I don’t see any reason why Publicize wouldn’t work.

Please try a full reconnect following the guide at https://jetpack.com/support/publicize/facebook/#reconnecting-facebook

Following the steps, when i connect Facebook, Jetpack panel gives me an error “There is an issue connecting to Facebook” and the button “reconnecting” is grey.

Did you follow the step on the page James gave above to also delete the connection on Facebook’s end, at https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=business_tools?

If you have done that, the next thing I’d suggest is to completely clear your browser cache and cookies (or only the cookies for WordPress.com, your site, and Facebook, at the very least). Then log back into Facebook and WordPress.com and try reconnecting again.

If it still won’t work, please check if using a different browser helps.

Hi KokkieH, i tried everything. I wrote that i followed the steps in the guide and.. nothing. I changed my browser: Chrome, Firefox, Opera. I delete cookies every four hours.

    What else?

You are trying to connect to a Facebook page, correct? Not a personal profile?

Can you please take me through what you see when you try to connect?

From WordPress.com ->Tools ->Marketing ->Connections, when you connect you should see an overlay appear asking you to authorize a connection to your Facebook account. Next the overlay will ask you to approve the permissions we need. And then once the connection is made you should see a list of all Facebook pages you’re an admin of, and there you select the page you want to share to.

At which step in that process does it fail?

Can you also take a screen shot of the error message, so we can see it in context? To share a screen shot here, either use a third-party service like snag.gy, or upload the screen shot to your media library and share the media file URL here.

At the last one. At first time says “reconnecting” and the text is in grey. After some hours, seems it’s all okay, but it’s no the truth.

Indeed, if i post in my website, Jetpack publicize it in all my social accounts except Facebook (it’s a page, sure).

I’m using Jetpack plugin in the last three years in this specific website.

    What’s wrong?

What is the URL of the Facebook Page you’re trying to connect to?

Is it managed by Facebook Business Manager?

    Hi James,

    this is the url

    https://www.facebook.com/mag.seriesusa/

    Nope, it’s not in FBM.

I do see that page properly connected via Publicize to your site on our end, it also passes connection tests from our end too.

Your latest post did, however, fail to post to Facebook. No explanation was sent from Facebook’s end, just a logged failure.

Have you ever had trouble auto-posting to this page from anything else? Sometimes Facebook limits the ability to post to certain pages for various moderation-related reasons.

    Solved!

I change Facebook administrator, follow your guide and delete connection between Jetpack and WordPress. Then, add the first admin and now it’s all good.

    Thanks for your support!
