• Good day,

Thank you for a wonderful plugin.

I have a site tribulant.com/blog/ and it has a development mirror. At some stage, Jetpack asked me which one is the development site and so I did.

With publicize, unfortunately it stopped posting to social networks on the live/production site at this time. So I disconnected the social networks and started reconnecting them one by one.

When on the live/production site, trying to connect a social network goes to the social network’s authentication page and then redirects back to the development mirror instead of back to the live one where the connection was initiated from.

Is this a known issue or is it a glitch with my Jetpack installation/connection?

Hi there! It looks like some settings get mixed up on our end between your two sites. Jetpack thinks your production site (tribulant.com/blog/) is your staging site (https://develop.tribulant.com/blog).

Could you please try disconnecting and then reconnecting Jetpack to WordPress.com on both sites?

To do so, navigate to Dashboard > Jetpack. Then, scroll to the bottom of the page and click the “Disconnect from WordPress.com” link. After doing so, click the “Connect to Get Started” button to reconnect.

Please let me know when you have done so, and I will check that your connection is working properly on our end.

Just a word of caution when working with staging sites: you should always make sure to disconnect Jetpack before migrating or cloning a site. Otherwise you can run into trouble like you’re experiencing now. But no worries, we should be able to get this straightened out!

Thank you for the response on this.

We have disconnected and reconnected both but unfortunately it doesn’t work.

Is it possible to reset both on your side?
Up to the point where we can choose the development site option again?

I look forward to your response and thank you for your help.

Can you please use Jetpack’s Debugger module to send us some more information about your site? Then we can investigate further and get this issue resolved.

    1) Go to the Jetpack page in your dashboard.
    2) Click on “Help” tab in the upper right side of the page and click the link for “Jetpack Debugging Center.”
    3) Click the link that says “click here to contact Jetpack support.”
    4) Fill in the description box and your name and email address.
    5) Click the “Contact Support” button.

Please include a link to this forum thread in your message. Thanks!
