• Similar to what’s happened on Facebook, the custom text that I’m entering in Publicize is not being pushed to Twitter.

Here’s what the custom text should be for a recent post:
“John Williams has started scoring Star Wars: The Force Awakens at Sony? https://wp.me/p3NzLK-3Z9
    #StarWars #TheForceAwakens”

    And here’s the actual tweet:
    https://twitter.com/MakingStarWars/status/605458476970577920

There’s no short link, and no hashtags. For my audience the hashtags on Twitter and Facebook are really important. Right now they’re working find on Facebook, but not showing on Twitter because of the long link taking up the character, I’m guessing.

I need to be able to enter in hashtags in to Publicize and they get pushed out in my tweets.

Also the fact that images are showing up in the tweet is very undesirable for me. I post a lot of movie spoilers and don’t want to accidentally spoil something for someone.

I’m sorry to hear you’ve run into issues.

We’re aware of this issue, and as you suspected the problem is with the length of the custom message. We’ll get this fixed, and I’ll post again here as soon as I have some news.

Also the fact that images are showing up in the tweet is very undesirable for me. I post a lot of movie spoilers and don’t want to accidentally spoil something for someone.

That new feature was requested by a lot of people, but I’ve taken note of your feedback and we’ll consider adding an option to disable it in a future Jetpack update. I’ll keep you updated.
