While Facebook is in indeed connected via Publicize, posts are not publishing on Facebook. This is the case for many websites that I manage. When I run the “Sharing Debugger” on the “Facebook for Developers” page, it shows one error:
Missing Properties: The following required properties are missing: fb:app_id

I’ve read on other resources, that the Facebook App ID is not required for publishing posts to Facebook Pages, but rather it’s only needed for Insights. Is that still true?

If I do need to create a Facebook App ID, will I need to do this for each domain that JetPack is installed on or can I use it on all domains that I manage?

Here’s an example of a site where it’s not working:

Jetpack isn’t activated on the site that you listed @gfxdesigner . Please activate the plugin on that site so we can further evaluate.

    Thank you for the follow-up.

Actually, Jetpack is activated. When visiting WordPress Admin > Jetpack > Dashboard > Connections, it says “your site is connected to WprdPress.com” And “Account Connection” is also showing as connected.

Before submitting this initial post, I also deactivated/reactivated the plugin and then reconnected it to Jetpack.

Hm, same as @lizkarkoski, I’m pretty sure this site is not in our database. Could you try deleting Jetpack and then reinstalling it again? You can follow these steps to do that:

    1. Start at Plugins → Installed Plugins.
    2. If Jetpack is currently active, click Deactivate to disable it. Then click Delete to remove it from your site:
    3. Go to Plugins? → Add New.
    4. Search for “Jetpack by WordPress.com”.
    5. Click Install and then Activate.

When Jetpack is installed, click the green Set up Jetpack button to reconnect.

This handy guide explains that process in more detail:

Let me know once that is done so we can have another look. Thanks!

I have completed the process if you want to check.

BTW, is there a method that I can use to troubleshoot whether or not a site is connected to JetPack?

The debug is the best place to check for any issues with your Jetpack connection.

I can see now that your site is connected, although there are some errors with the REST API. Let’s try to rule out plugin issues. Try to disable all plugins, and switch to the default Twenty Twenty theme. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of the problem.

To make it easier, you can install Health Check. On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site.
