Hi – we published 2 posts that did not get sent out to facebook. Twitter, yes.

So we went to facebook debugger and cleared everything except for this on images:

og:image was not defined, could not be downloaded or was not big enough. Please define a chosen image using the og:image metatag, and use an image that’s at least 200x200px and is accessible from Facebook

I would think that this last thing, the image not being big enough, would not stand in the way of sharing via facebook, but perhaps it is?

We’re using Yoast SEO and have added a default image (much larger than the 200×200 they recommend) and title and text.

Is there anything else needed? I’m guessing the image that facebook wants larger is the feature image. Is that correct?

    Any help greatly appreciated.

BTW – this is the website – https://paintingthecanvas.com

I had a look at your site, and Jetpack appears to be properly connected at the moment. Are you still having trouble? If so, could you please let me know which two posts did not Publicize to Facebook? Then I’d be happy to investigate further. Thanks!

    Hi,

The name of the 2 posts that didn’t get sent out:

    1. End of Summer Blues
    2. Winter on Fire

Since there have been no new posts, do you recommend us re-posting of the 2 listed above?
    Thanks!

Thanks for the info! I had a look at both posts, and Facebook appears to be pulling the correct information as seen in the debugger:

It’s possible that this was a temporary hiccup, as I don’t see any issues with the posts on our end. You can’t Publicize existing posts, so I would recommend manually posting those two to your social media accounts.

When you’re ready to publish your next post, see if Publicize works as expected. If it doesn’t, please use Jetpack’s Debugger module to send us some more information about your site immediately after the issue occurs. You can do so by following these steps:

    1) Go to the Jetpack page in your dashboard.
    2) Click on “Help” tab in the upper right side of the page and click the link for “Jetpack Debugging Center.”
    3) Click the link that says “click here to contact Jetpack support.”
    4) Fill in the description box and your name and email address.
    5) Click the “Contact Support” button.

Just let us know, and we can go from there!
