I can’t get Publicize to be enabled: the admin page says I need to enable it (it has been enabled for some time) but the changes can’t be saved. The service I have been using through it is Twitter and that doesn’t show as an option I can disconnect in the admin page. I can add other services (instagram, etc) but Twitter doesn’t show as one that can be disabled and then re-enabled.

The Sharing Buttons option fails the same way. Not sure what’s going on.

    Hi there,

It could be possible something is blocking Jetpack, but we can say anything confirm only after investigation.

Could you please post your site URL here so that we can have a look?

If you want it to remain private, you can also contact us via this contact form. If you choose to reach out directly, please include a link to this thread.

For us: Sounds similar to GH-JPOP-6813

    Thanks for that URL, Paul.

I do see that you’ve previously connected Jetpack to your site, which is great. However, there seems to be an issue with that connection right now – Not everything seems to be working properly.

Would you be able to try the following exact steps for me?

    1. From the wp-admin dashboard of your site, please go to Jetpack > Dashboard > Connections > “Manage site connection” from your left-hand menu.

    2. Click the “Disconnect” button. If it’s already disconnected, you can skip to the next step.

    3. Deactivate your Jetpack plugin by heading to Plugins > Installed Plugins and finding “Jetpack by WordPress.com.”

    4. Completely uninstall Jetpack.

    5. Reinstall the newest version of Jetpack.

    6. Activate Jetpack.

    7. In Jetpack > Dashboard > Connections > “Manage site connection,” Click the “Set up Jetpack” button and continue through the approval process.

Please let us know the results of this troubleshooting and we can go from there. Thanks!

Done that several times but sure, why not.

Hmm. Deactivated and deleted the plugin, stop/start to all the services involved, reinstall and reactivate the plugin and…Publicize won’t activate/changes can’t be saved. Twitter still doesn’t show as a service: Instagram, Mailchimp can be activated. But somehow the one service I want can’t be deactivated/disconnected so I can reconnect or reactivate it.

    Hello @paul

Since your case requires more security access, could you contact us via this contact form, please?

Please include a link to this thread in your message.

Let me know if you have any questions.

    My best regards,

    Michelle C.
