    leonardogsouza,

I can see by looking at your site’s main index that the theme displays the Featured Image there, so it probably just doesn’t include it in single posts. Even so, Jetpack should be pulling it from your posts if they are a minimum of 200px by 200px. Can you check that and confirm?

Jason, the problem is probably related to the other issue, then, because FB still complains about that page:

    https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/og/object?q=http%3A%2F%2Fthecrewenews.co.uk%2Fpolice-investigate-death-of-a-20-year-old-man-from-crewe%2F

To fix this, you’d need to find what it is that is inserting the noscript in your site and that div around it. Is it a plugin? Is it hard-coded in your header.php or elsewhere? I can’t know that without having access to your themes files. Did someone help you put the site together? Maybe they can help you with that?

    Richard
Yes, it doesnt include unless I do so.
So, as long is 200px x 200px it should work, right? I’ll check and if it happens again I’ll let you. Thank you so much!

    leonardogsouza,

It SHOULD work, but.. There are always fun issues with Facebook, so if it doesn’t work, please let me know and we’ll keep at it! ??

i will test it, and get back to you with reports

Ok after 24hrs of testing pubishing posts, i have found that 200px – 200px DOES NOT work, BUT i tried min picture size of 250px – 250px (within post or as featured image) and almost everytime it worked posting the image.

I will continue to test and report back again soon.

Almost everytime is not good ;/
I haven’t had any more problem, but now I’m posting inside the post (which I wasnt going to do always, but now I have to)

    Jason,

Maybe when FB says minimum of 200px, they actually mean, 201px and more. When you say it works almost every time, did you check the FB debugger for the posts in which it didn’t work?

call me daft but what is Facebook debugger :/

    Sorry very new to this.

right setting as 250px by 250px was working perfectly with every post but even NOW that has stopped grrrrrrr

I have given up using this, gonna find a new facebook publisher or even revert back to the one I was using before installing this, as that worked perfectly fine.

Unless you can fix it, I wont be using it again.

    Hi Jason,

    The facebook debugger is here:

    https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug

You can input the URL of any post or page in there and it will give you information on what errors it encounters.

As I previously mentioned, the debugger complains about og:meta tags in the body. In the case of https://thecrewenews.co.uk/police-investigate-death-of-a-20-year-old-man-from-crewe/ and the debugger results in particular you can see that. As I mentioned though, in this case, it’s inexact in the error it gives. As I previously said:

I didn’t see any meta tags in the body, but I DID see a the following in the head

    <div align="center"><noscript>
    <div style="position:fixed; top:0px; left:0px; z-index:3000; height:100%; width:100%; background-color:#FFFFFF">
<div style="font-family: Tahoma; font-size: 14px; background-color:#FFF000">To see this page as it is meant to appear, we ask that you please enable your Javascript!</div></div>
    </noscript></div>

There should not be a div element outside of the noscript. You should remove this or fix it. This is likely what’s confusing Facebook.

You’ll need to fix this. As well, I see the og tags being output twice on that page: once by Jetpack, and once by something else (I cannot tell what it is). You should fix that as well. If you don’t fix these errors, you’ll likely always have problems. This is not an issue that is caused by Jetpack.

Thanks for this info, but unfortunatlly I have no idea how to fix this ??

this post -> https://thecrewenews.co.uk/get-on-your-bike-in-aid-of-st-lukes-hospice/ is not picking up any image at all when publishing to facebook. Im viewing it in the debugger and just staring at stuff i do not understand ??

    ??????????????????

This is really getting weird now…………

It all started working perfectly again.

All posts are pulling images now.

    My heads blagged.

I think this has got nothing to do with my site OR Jetpack, Thi must simply be a FB issue, that they keep messing with.

There are definitely some things that just aren’t done properly on your site though, Jason. I suggest hiring a local web developer for additional help, or asking here:

    Support Forums

Just pick the right forum for your issue. In your case, I’d start here:

    https://www.ads-software.com/support/forum/how-to-and-troubleshooting

However, for some of your issues, it’d probably be a lot easier for a web developper with access to your Dashboard to look at and fix the problems, the volunteers in the forum can point you to resources and try to guide you through things but can’t necessarily access your installation.

For what it’s worth, I still see issues here:

    https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/og/object?q=http%3A%2F%2Fthecrewenews.co.uk%2Fget-on-your-bike-in-aid-of-st-lukes-hospice%2F

Those can only be fixed by checking out what’s happening in your site, in your theme and with whatever plguins you have installed.

Ive just discovered the plugin jQuery for lightbox is active and this maybe 1 problem as it was discontinued in favor of jetpack…

    https://www.viper007bond.com/wordpress-plugins/discontinued-plugins/jquery-lightbox-for-native-galleries/

    removed it now ??
