    Hi,

Publicize isn’t working again, it hasn’t posted for over a month to my social networks… what is going on with what was once a great plugin?

What can I do to sort this out?

The website in question is https://www.techietalk.co.uk

I experienced problems too today, since midday, installed the beta and reconnect all social media, now it works.

Only problem is I can’t set Google+ posts to be public…

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

I would indeed recommend installing the Beta, as @peterszky suggested. You can also wait a few hours, as we plan on releasing 4.3.2 later today, to ship the Beta to everyone using the Jetpack plugin.

If that doesn’t help, let me know!

@peterszky I’m afraid that’s a known issue. Google+ recently made some changes to their settings pages; it’s currently not possible to change the privacy of the updates shared to Google+ via Jetpack’s Publicize module.

We’ve reached out to Google for an update, and I’ll be back in touch once we have more information. In the meantime, I’m afraid I can only recommend that you manually post your links to Google+ by copying and pasting the URL into Google+, or by using the Google+ sharing button if you use the Jetpack sharing buttons.

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

    Hi there,

    I have good news!

A few weeks ago, Google+ made some changes to their API. In doing so introduced some issues with Publicize. The module still worked, but the updates posted by the WordPress app on your Google+ Profile or Google+ Page were only visible to you.

In the past few weeks, we’ve worked with Google+ to start using a new API. That API works just like the old one, with one exception: publicized posts are now public. You can’t change the visibility of publicized posts to “My Circles”, or anything else.

If you’re happy to have Publicize publishing public posts to your Google+ Profile or Page, you can follow the instructions below to delete your old connection, and then reconnect your Jetpack site to your Google+ account:
    https://jetpack.com/support/publicize/google/#reconnecting

    I hope this helps.
