  • Same here – I get Error code: -32300, aka “Something which should never happen, happened. Sorry about that. If you try again, maybe it will work.” But it’s just plain not working…

well, at least you get an error.

    no error here. Weird.

As Phil Emery, after latest update Publicise dos not work:

WP Version 4.6.1 running Travelify theme.

    Modules installed:
    Facebook Auto Publish
    Jetpack by WordPress.com
    Wordfence Security

    No errors reported when posting.

Worked perfectly well before last update.

@noise I’m sorry to hear you’ve run into issues.

Do you happen to use a plugin to clone or duplicate posts, instead of writing each new post from scratch? If so, most of these plugins also duplicate the posts’ meta data, including meta data that was added by Jetpack’s Publicize module to the original module to indicate that the post was successfully published. That’s useful as it allows us to make sure that your posts aren’t publicized again every time you go back and edit a post that’s already been published.

If you use such a plugin, could you try to publish a brand new post without using the plugin, and let me know how it goes?
If that helps, I’d recommend using your duplicating plugin to duplicate drafts instead of posts that you’ve already published. That would be a good work-around, since a draft won’t include that Publicize meta data.

@gspotrecords Jetpack uses your site’s XML-RPC file to communicate with WordPress.com. Unfortunately I cannot access that file on your site at the moment:
    https://www.gunnarspot.com/xmlrpc.php

If you use a security plugin to block access to the file, you’ll need to configure it to allow incoming and outgoing connections to /xmlrpc.php.

If you do not use such plugin, you’ll want to contact your hosting provider and ask them if they currently block access to your site’s XML-RPC file.

    I hope this helps.

@eurodirectrentals Could you please start your own thread, as per the Forum Welcome?

Could you also post your site URL there, so I can take a closer look at your site?

    Thank you!

Try clearing all cache including minify and Cloudflare or any caching CDN.

That is the only thing that worked for me.

I am also having issue with Publicize.

No error message. It simply does not send anything.

I disabled all other plugins to test conflicts. No improvement.

Contacted Jetpack support about 2 days ago. No response.

    xmlrppc is accessible

No caching on site at the moment. No CDN.

It worked few days ago. I changed absolutely nothing. Simply publicized one post, then next post, around 20 minuutes later, it did not, and then past two days its dead in water.

As last thing I went and got Jetpack Beta Master, updated to Bleeding Edge, manually. No improvement to situation.

@viktorvedmak Try deleting and re-installing Jetpack.

Deleting and reinstalling was first thing I did.

I’d like to mention that as of about 20 minutes ago my Publicize is working again, without me doing anything to make it work.

Aaand … it stopped again. Without my help.

@viktorvedmak Same thing keeps happening to me, so I switched to Next Scripts WordPress plugin.

@tklist Thanks for the heads up, I’ll check it out. I’ve been testing IFTTT also but it leaves a lot to be desired, it does not work as well as Publicize did.

@viktorvedmak If you contacted us, we should get back to you soon!

@tklist CloudFlare shouldn’t interact or conflict with Publicize; the 2 services work well together in my tests. If you’d like to give Publicize another try, don’t hesitate to send us some more information about your site so we can take a closer look:

    1) Go to the Jetpack page in your dashboard.
    2) Click on the Debug link appearing at the bottom of the page.
    3) Click the link that says “click here to contact Jetpack support.”
    4) Fill in the description box and your name and email address.
    5) Click the “Contact Support” button to send us the debug results privately. It’s best not to post this information on public forums, as it contains private details about your site.

    Thanks!
