  • I’m also having the same problem as Vantage Recovery. Seemed to break right after the latest update on May 5th. I’ll watch this page for updates on how to fix.

(Didn’t mean to intrude VR, just wanted them to know that more people are having that same issue as you)

The same problemen here. Looking forward to a solution

    Same problem for me…

I tried removing the WordPress authorization from LinkedIn and trying again, logging out from both WP and/or LinkedIn, and clearing cookies and cache.

    No luck so far.

Same problem Here. Cannot disconnect linkedin to reconnect it. looking for a solution. Just upgraded to latest release. Problem was before and is after upgrade.

I’m having this issue with all 6 Publicize systems, twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn etc, just stuck in a loop of Error code: -10520 There was a problem creating your connection. Please go back and try again. and The LinkedIn connection could not be made because no account was selected. (when no option was given to select), I’ve tried disconnecting then from the other sides so as to re-link then and nothing works. I have tried working from both wordpress.com side as well as from my sites admin side and just a constant loop.
if it helps my site is https://transparent-aluminium.net/ and hosted on 123-reg

Me too, linkedin cannot connect to establish connection

I read a comment from a Jetpack support agent (sorry I can’t find the page now) that if you use Jetpack as a plugin on your own install (as opposed to using WordPress.com) that LinkedIn now throttles the submission count from self hosted sites, so it has now effectively become a non functioning feature.

    Found it;

The response I received from the Jetpack team might help others who are frustrated by this issue:

LinkedIn is only allowing WordPress.com (which is where all Publicized requests come from) to make a certain number of new connections per day, and our developers are still actively working with them to get that limit increased. You are welcome to continue to try connecting Publicize to LinkedIn, and hopefully we will have a resolution soon.

Why do I need a NEW connection? Why did the update removed the valid connection I have had for years through numerous updates?

Better still, why is it WP.com’s connection?

RedofM3, my guess (only a guess) is that LinkedIn has been shoring up many 3rd party API access since last year. You used to be able to connect some CRM apps to but now I think only Salesforce is allowed. Perhaps this is a way to ensure the posts are coming from recognized servers. Net neutrality anyone?

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

Can you all give it another try now?

If you continue to experience issues, could you use Jetpack’s Debugger module to send us some more information about your sites?

    1) Go to the Jetpack page in your dashboard.
    2) Click on the Debug link appearing at the bottom of the page.
    3) Click the link that says “click here to contact Jetpack support.”
    4) Fill in the description box and your name and email address.
    5) Click the “Contact Support” button.

    Thanks!

WordPress must have worked the deal with Linkedin, mine connected this AM

Yep, mine works now as well. Thanks for the fix!

This morning it worked! I was able to publicize my post on LinkedIn through the Jetpack-plugin.

    Thank you!

    Thank you for the fix.
