Publicize unable to connect to Google+

Publicize’s connection to one of my Google+ accounts was working (albeit with other, unrelated issues) until this morning, when it started showing me this message: “Before you hit Publish, please refresh the following connection(s) to make sure we can Publicize your post”. I tried reconnecting as instructed, but it didn’t help. I get this message: “There was a problem connecting with Publicize. Please try again in a moment.”

I followed the procedure to disconnect and reconnect, but that also didn’t help (https://jetpack.com/support/publicize/google/#reconnecting).
