Publish 1st page need some help SOS!

    I am recreating my old website using WP. I have switched hosting companies to get better service at a much lower price. Here’s my question…I have created pages but for now just want to publish the home page. I created it and clicked “publish”. That was yesterday. The old website is still showing up. I guess my question is am I supposed to do more or should it have replaced the old web page???

    p.s. Can anyone give me some advice???? The domain name is the same.

    Is this something I can do or do I need to contact my web hosting company??

    You can do it if you have FTP access to your server. Just go in and delete the old stuff.

    I would STRONGLY suggest backing it up, mind you ??

    I have FTP access. The old site is what is up and currently running. At the risk of asking a stupid question once I delete it I am assuming the NEW published page ( I have already pressed “publish”) will pop up. Correct?
