Publish by post or API?

Hi folks,

Is there a way that an application I am creating could post pages (articles?) to a WordPress based blog? I am writing an application that is going to generate TONS of information that I plan to use in conjunction with my writing a science fiction novel. I’d love to make that information available on the blog to what I hope will be my fanbase (tongue in cheek).

Did a few googles trying to find the answer to this and I thought posting here would be my final attempt…
