I understand FB’s restrictions on private pages and groups, but will this plugin let me display events for a business page? I went through the Events chapter of the documentation, but it doesn’t say much. It just tells me how to select and format a theme. The online demo didn’t show how to share events, either. The free version I installed on one of my sites doesn’t have Events as an option.

    Hi,

We very much regret to inform you, that Facebook API has closed the data for Facebook events. Unfortunately, Facebook Feed WD plugin can no longer get the information for the events on your Facebook page.

We’re sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.

    Thanks, have a great day!

I have been using this Plugin since last year and the events work on it:

    https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/custom-facebook-feed/

I want to use this plugin because it looks better and can customize it easier. They keep telling me that Facebook API is has closed the data, but if thats the case, then how does this other plugin fetch the events and show them perfectly?

On the Smashballon website it shows this:

    https://smashballoon.com/custom-facebook-feed/docs/displaying-facebook-events-using-wordpress-plugin/

“Due to some recent Facebook API changes there it is currently only possible to display events that you are a host of and are from a Facebook page that you are an admin of. To do this, you need a Page Access Token for your Facebook page. To display events from Facebook pages that you’re not an admin of see this FAQ for a temporary workaround. We apologize for any inconvenience!”

But it is still able to show events right now.

I am an admin of the page I want to view the events on, so I’m not sure why Facebook Feed WD can’t do the same???

    Hi,

Please note that currently, we do not have any solution for showing the FB events on the page.

We are sorry about the inconvenience that these changes have caused.

    Thanks.
