    within woocommerce is there an automatic way to update published dates if a product is drafted and date needs updating , i know the meta in publish box is there to do manually but is there a solution to do this automatically, so as soome as publish is clicked, the date changes to that publish date.

    Hi there!

    This particular feature is part of WordPress, and not specifically WooCommerce. As I understand it, if your product (or post or page) hasn’t ever been published, and is saved to draft, then it will automatically take on the current date when it eventually is published.

    However, the moment it’s been published once, the published date is saved, and further edits are considered modifications, even if you return it to draft and publish later. There’s a few ways around that:

    1. Modify your theme via template override to use the “Modified” date in place of the “Published” date;
    2. Use a plugin, like WP Last Modified Info to help you with that;
