published page showing as 'not found 404'

  • I have page and it’s published and when i go to the link it says not found, i try edit it and republish but still says not found when i browse to the link?

    any ideas?

    have you set this page to use a default template or some custom template?

    In the dashboard, go to Settings >> Permalinks and make sure the correct permalink is set. If it’s already set to the correct one, try clicking the “Save Changes” button again and see if it helps.

    1) It’s set to standard..
    Also it’s only happening on two posts, there are another 20+posts and this problem is not happening.

    2) I checked permalinks and set as “https://www.mysitename.com/sample-post/”
    Links I’m browsing to are also set as that.

    I forgot to say it was a post not a page if that makes difference.

    In your original post you mentioned it happening on “one page”

    In this latest reply you mention it happening on “two posts”

    I’m confused: post? pages? one? more than one?

    Yes sorry.

    On the original post here I said page, it should have said post.

    Then later on as I was checking through my posts on wordpress I noticed it was also happening on a second post.

    Sorry for poor explanation above.
