published post not listed on dashboard – no categories available

    i published a blog – updated it. it shows “published” but doesn’t appear on my list of posts and can’t even search for the title.

    Also, I don’t see “Categories” under which I can list it, only “Parent” Is this the new WordPress? How can people search for it on my blog site if I can’t categorize this article?

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    thank you. In desperation, I logged in all over, and the edit page looked normal with categories, and reposted the blog, and it worked. thanks.
