After installing this plugin, the value of “Publisher Clicks” of Google Analytics increased abnormally.

For now, I’ve temporarily stopped using this plugin.

Note: The page has Google Adsense “Display Ads” unit, a “Matched content” unit, and a “Link Ads” unit.

The plug-in settings are the defaults and are not changed.

@gonowp-org What does “Publisher Clicks” of Google Analytics mean?

Flying Pages doesn’t prefetch external links. So it will not “click” any ads

@gonowp-org thanks a lot for providing this info. Can you share the URL of the site so that I can check it in detail?

You can also submit it via https://wpspeedmatters.com/hire-me/

@gonowp-org Thanks. I tried it from a non-logged in state and I can see it only prefetches links the current site, no external links.

Can you add me as admin to test it out from a logged-in state?

I checked the page. Only the URLs in the screenshot are prefetched: https://tinyurl.com/suuay38

Maybe it’s happening only when you’re logged in. Can you add me as an admin?

    OK,
I have submitted your login information.

My rental server usually restricts access to the Admin screen from abroad, so please let me know the time required for confirmation. It is currently accessible.

@gonowp-org Thanks a lot for providing me all these info.

I tried everything and I couldn’t reproduce the issue. None of the links to ads is prefetched by Flying Pages. So I doubt it should be something else.

Also, to make sure ads will never to prefetched, I’ve added “googleads” keyword to the ignore list.

    Thank you.

Does the keyword work if I specify a string in the URL?
I have added another keyword, “pagead” (without the s).
It seems to be used for the “Matched content” unit and the “Link Ads” unit.

I’ll see if this setting solves the problem for a day or two.

@gonowp-org yes, the keyword will match any string in the URL.

Pls test it out for a few days and let me know.
