Publishing to static content, no DB

  • I’ve been tasked with rewriting my employer’s web site and was considering using WordPress as a CMS. As a rule, I don’t like letting users hit the database and prefer to have content published to static files. Is this possible with WordPress without seriously hacking the original code?
