pull in featured image as thumbnail

Hi, there are some examples listed in the docs that might be good for that:

Example 4 uses a normal WordPress loop and you can use the normal WordPress functions to show attachments and such.

Great plugin. When looking at example 4, what I would replace ‘the_excerpt()’ with to show the post date?

Did you try:

echo get_the_time( get_option('date_format'), $r->ID ) . '<br />';

(untested)
