• In recent days, when I create a new page in WP, that page will have punctuation problems when viewed after it’s created. For example,
    the apostrophe (‘) shows as a question mark (?). But when viewed in editing mode in the WP admin area, all the punctuation are correct.

    An example can found here

    This problem arose only a few days ago, so pages created prior to that don’t have that problem.

    Anybody know what’s wrong? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

  • I validated your page here and you have some tags with capital letters – all need to be lowercase in HTML (META NAME must be meta name). There’s a few other problems. All the images, meta tags and non-closing tags need to be made into self-closing tags:

    <img src="ball.gif" alt="pretty ball" />

    Clean these things up and some nested list errors and see if the problem persists.

    It could be that you don’t have the right character code set, but one thing at a time.

    Thanks! I’ll get down to it right away. But what is a character code set?
