We have been using Event Tickets Plus for over a year. Our initial license key has expired but we were told that the plugin would continue to work, we just wouldn’t get updates.

So this week we noticed that the form on the event detail page as seen here https://prntscr.com/jgoz44 is no longer showing up on the detail page, see https://www.greatswamp.org/event/great-swamp-great-music/

When I enter a price, in this case $40, and save the plugin shows the ticket at FREE, see https://prntscr.com/jgp4bd and on the front end it doesnt show the form at all.

This is obviously VERY bad as people cannot register for events and defeats the entire purpose of this costly plugin.

Here are the versions we are running:
    WordPress 4.9.5
    WooCommerce 3.3.5
    Event Tickets Version 4.7.2
Events Tickets Plus Version 4.5.6 (because we don’t have a license to upgrade)

Anybody else have this problem? What is the fix?

  • Hey there @nathancoffey!

Thanks for your interest in our products.

Unfortunately, one of the downfalls of using software that is out of date is that it doesn’t always cooperate well with newer code (especially in this scenario where the older plugin (pro) is built on top of the newer one.

In this case, you can give our Testing for Conflicts guide a shot and let us know how that goes — hopefully that can help nudge us is a direction that is not compatibility related.

Sorry that I don’t have a better answer for you!

Ed – here’s the thing. when creating this site for a client I read that I could buy this plugin and like with most plugins if the client didn’t want to keep paying the yearly fee the plugin would keep working we would just be out premium support and upgrades. I sold them on that idea. Now Event Tickets updated and so did WooCommerce and now its evident that they have to pay the $89 fee to update this plugin so that it’ll work with the others?? i’m not happy about that.

    anything we can do here?

    Hey @nathancoffey,

If any backend changes have been made, I’d suggest taking a look at our Testing for Conflicts guide.

You can always override the template files — take a look at our Themer’s Guide. To do this, copy the file(s) you want to edit to /wp-content/themes/jobify-child/tribe-events/ and customize from there.

That’s a tough position to be in. For support and updates for our premium plugins, an active license is needed — plus with the evolution of WordPress, plugins have to be updated frequently to stay compatible and secure.

I just bought the plugin …2 days ago.

Right now I don’t see any “Purchase Tickets” anywhere in the event I created

    Why is that?

Another question – How long till I can return the product for a full refund?
